Dummy Load Cell.jpg

Dummy Load Cells, through our partner, mg-sensor- EUROAMERICA offers more than 200 products for crash test sensor applications. The applied forces (and force moments) on a crash test dummy are measured by the load cells installed within the dummy's body. The forces cause compression or strain on the physical structure of the individual load cell unit. The ensuing deformation of the load cell is then measured using precision strain gauges within the sensor that converts these physical changes into electrical signals that are communicated to the data acquisition system.

In crash tests, different ATD dummy types are used depending on the crash type. For this purpose, we develop and produce numerous load cells for various measuring sites such as the head, neck, chest, spine, pelvis, legs and many more.

ATD load cells range from single to six-axis models available for the Hybrid III, Side Impact, Child, Rear Impact and THOR family of dummies!

High-Speed Cameras for Automotive Safety Testing

EUROAMERICA offers three brands of high-speed camera systems that can be used specifically for automotive safety testing.

Cameras require a combination of resolution, frame rate, light sensitivity and durability, engineers can rely on EUROAMERICA to offer a solution for both on-board and off-board testing.

Lighting - IES is renowned worldwide for its high quality and innovative LED products for the Automotive industry, considered as the highest illumination/size ratio. Its products can be categorized by:

Offboard - IES LED lamps models are perfect for a variety of applications, including sled and crash test facilities.

The IES 4438 LED lamp is a high-capacity lamp that offers both sync and continuous modes of operation. It emits 100,000 lumens continuously and 200,000 lumens in sync mode. This lamp is particularly suitable for use in sled and crash test facilities. It can be easily connected to standard 110/220VAC power outlets and controlled remotely using RS-485 commands. This model is available with various emission angles, ranging from 27º to 60º, allowing for versatility in its applications.

Onboard setting:

The IES 4420, IES 4421, and IES 4422 are compact and lightweight onboard LED heads, offering brightness levels of 12,000 and 24,000 lumens. They are designed for versatile use, with options for a wide emission angle in confined spaces or a Fresnel lens for a more focused beam and even light distribution. These onboard LED heads are rugged, capable of withstanding forces of 100G (with lens) or 200G (without lens). Their compact size allows for close mounting to the camera lens, preventing shadows in high-speed video images, ensuring optimal illumination in various applications.
