Intro

Vibration Shaker Systems

The Modal Shop offers a full line of individual modal shakers and vibration shakers. Kits are also available and include both shaker and amplifier required. Modal shakers offer a through-hole armature to simplify your test setup. Dual purpose vibration test shakers come equipped with a platform for vibration testing and a through-hole armature for modal analysis applications.

Miniature Inertial Shaker

The Miniature Electrodynamic Inertial Shaker System Model K2002E01 consists of a compact and lightweight 2002E Inertial Force Generator, along with a compact 2000E Mini Amplifier. The shaker system is well-suited for structural testing as well as a variety of general vibration testing applications particularly in small, confined locations.

The compact design and portability make the 2004E/2007E mini-shakers a versatile, accessible, and popular solution for test and instrumentation engineers. They are ideally suited for general purpose vibration testing of small components, electronic assemblies, Integrated Circuits and Printed Circuit Boards, or as an excitation transducer for experimental modal, academic, biomedical, or laboratory research.

SmartShaker

This electrodynamic exciter is a small, portable permanent magnet shaker with a new generation of ultra compact precision power amplifier integrated in its base. The revolutionary SmartShakerâ„¢ design eliminates the need for a separate, cumbersome power amplifier - just plug the excitation signal from a dynamic signal analyzer or function generator directly into the BNC on the base of the shaker. The unit is supplied with a DC power supply but can be run directly from any 12-21 VDC supply.

Experimental Modal Testing Exciter

The Modal Shop’s Modal Shaker Model 2025E, a very lightweight electrodynamic modal exciter, is capable of providing up to 13 lbf (58 N) of peak force excitation in a small footprint weighing just 13 lb (6 kg). With a 0.7 in (18 mm) general purpose stroke and useful frequency range beyond 9 kHz, the 2025E is suitable for structural testing and experimental modal analysis applications, including single and multiple inputs (SIMO and MIMO) using random, burst random, sine dwell, or chirp excitation signals.

Ground Vibration Testing Exciter

The Modal Shop’s Modal Shaker Model 2060E, a lightweight electrodynamic modal exciter, is capable of providing up to 60 lbf (267 N) of peak force excitation in a small footprint weighing just 37 pounds (17 kg). With an extended 1.4" (36 mm) stroke enhancing input levels at low frequencies and useful frequency range beyond 6 kHz, the 2060E is suitable for structural testing and experimental modal analysis applications, including single and multiple inputs (SIMO and MIMO) using random, burst random, sine dwell or chirp excitation signals.

Automotive and Aerospace Exciter

The Modal Shop 2100E11, a lightweight, electrodynamic modal exciter, is capable of providing 100 lbf (440 N) of peak force excitation in a small footprint weighing just 33 pounds (15 kg). With a 1 in stroke for solid low-frequency performance and useful high-frequency range beyond 5400 Hz, the 2100E11 is suitable for structural testing and experimental modal analysis applications, including single and multiple inputs (SIMO and MIMO) using random, burst random, sine dwell or chirp excitation signals.

20 kHz Range Shaker

The Modal Shop 2025E-HF High Frequency Shaker is a 13 lbf (111 N) sine-peak electrodynamic unit. The shaker is designed for general purpose vibration testing of small components and stress screening of electronic sub-assemblies. The shaker has an extended frequency range for use in calibration of accelerometers and general purpose high frequency testing. The compact size of the 2025E-HF shaker (11 lb / 5 kg total) and large specimen mounting table surface (2.125" / 54 mm diameter) with multiple internally-threaded attachment points makes the shaker assembly ideally suited for such applications as production screening, accelerometer calibration and high frequency testing.

Vibration Control Testing

The Modal Shop’s Dual-Purpose Shaker Model 2075E is a small and lightweight, yet powerful permanent magnet shaker, providing up to 75 lbf pk sine force. A large armature (3.25 in/8.3 cm diameter platform table supporting payloads up to 7 lb/3.2 kg) makes the shaker ideal for traditional vibration control testing of components and subassemblies. The unit is also designed with a through-hole armature and includes a chuck and collet attachment, providing simple set-up with stingers for experimental modal analysis applications. When used in this configuration, these stingers greatly simplify test setup with an easy connection to the force sensor and test structure, and help decouple cross-axis force inputs, minimizing force measurement errors.

A large armature (3.25 in / 8.3 cm diameter platform table supporting payloads up to 10 lb / 4.5 kg) makes the shaker ideal for traditional vibration control testing of components and subassemblies. The unit is also designed with a through-hole armature and includes a chuck and collet attachment, providing simple set-up with stingers for experimental modal analysis applications. When used in this configuration, these stingers greatly simplify test setup with an easy connection to the force sensor and test structure, and help decouple cross-axis force inputs, minimizing force measurement errors.
