These targets replicate human properties in size and shape, realistic sensor response and articulating legs. Technological solutions for Child Presence Detection (CPD) are available that can detect a child’s presence in the vehicle and immediately alert the vehicle user or third-party services. Since we have always been in compliance with standards and regulations of safety (NCAP/UNECE), our new product will help in preventing any harm that might occur to an infant being undetected in a car. Our new 4activeOD – CPD newborn dummy, which works for advanced child presence detection systems with realistic radar-, Infrared- and camera- response, shows, that various breathing patterns will play a major role in preventing such tragic accidents, like infants being forgotten in overheated cars. The dummy can imitate many realistic movements of infants, for example breathing or sleeping. It is able to cover all the requirements specified by EuroNCAP in their latest test and assessment protocol – child presence detection.

The 4activeC2-SUV soft crash target combines the benefits of current official ENCAP C2 car targets with a new structure to challenge the newest and most developed vehicle sensors and features to keep passengers and road users safe. The radar and visual properties of this target are the result of years of development with leading key players in the industry, with a build-up time of only 2 minutes to reduce standstill time on test tracks. Additionally, 4activeSystems is working on additional light kits that include headlights, taillights, and indicators to make the target even more realistic.
4activeBS is the official Euro NCAP bicyclist target (EBTa) and represents an 50% adult male on standard average European utility bike. It is extremely lightweight and of a soft structure to prevent damage on the VUT. Its modular system allows an easy and fast exchange of spare parts.
4activeMC (Euro NCAP PTW) is approved for the planned Euro NCAP 2023 ADAS tests and represents the Global Motorcycle Target (GMT). Combined with the driverless robotic platform 4activeFB-small it is the best ADAS testing solution with the highest path following accuracy and lowest yaw rate (planned Euro NCAP 2023). Wildboar Animal target - Large extremely lightweight and soft structure robust and modular system realistic response for Radar-, Lidar, Camera, IR-Systems 4activeAN are the outcome of a long-term research project and represent a variety of realistic animal targets (roe deer, white tail deer, moose, wild boar, …). Each target is extremely lightweight and consists of a soft structure to prevent damage on the VUT. Different options, like an additional synchronized articulation, are available.

The 4activeFB-large robotic platform for C2C-testing (passenger vehicle) has been approved for use in Euro NCAP 2020 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) tests, in conjunction with the 4activeC2 vehicle target. This platform is designed with an open standard concept, making it easy to synchronize with all driving robots and GNSS/Inertial systems for precise full synchro and path following. With its low-profile design and high-precision dual antenna GNSS/IMU, the 4activeFB-large guarantees safe and robust testing even under challenging conditions. Euro NCAP Labs have already begun testing the next generation of ADAS systems using the 4activeFB-large platform, demonstrating its effectiveness in this field.
The 4activeEQ-Wall is a crucial tool for testing the effectiveness of Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) systems for vulnerable road users (VRU), such as bicyclists. This full view blocking obstruction is specifically designed to simulate real-world scenarios in which a vehicle may not be able to see a bicyclist on the road due to various obstacles. The 4activeEQ-Wall is built to run parallel to the bicycle path and is a permanent fixture, ensuring consistency in testing. It is designed to meet the requirements outlined in the EURO NCAP Test Protocol for AEB VRU Systems, which are the standard for testing the safety performance of vehicles in Europe. The Euro NCAP Labs are currently using the 4activeEQ-Wall as an important part of their testing procedures, to evaluate the AEB systems of different vehicles and to ensure that they provide an adequate level of protection for bicyclists. 4activeXB is the big brother of 4activeSB, the official Euro NCAP test system for all AEB/AES-VRU tests. With the open standard concept, it is very easy to precisely synchronize with all driving robots and GNSS/Inertial systems (full synchro). Beside the standard VRU scenarios with pedestrian and bicyclist targets, it can move motorcycle (PTW) and vehicle targets (GVT) with a speed up to 50km/h. With the help of supercapacitor, the system can handle the needed high power with just a 2,5kW generator.
